Companies are teaching themselves how to adjust to an ever-changing economy and we all have to re-learn how to function in this new COVID-world. Similarly, students across the Las Vegas valley are preparing for a school year of uncertainty. Between virtual classes, homeschooling and hybrid schedules, this will be a school year of adjustments for the students (and their parents!)
So, where do we go from here? How do we create a productive learning environment at home for the kids participating in virtual classes? Conversely, for students and teachers who will be attending class in person, how do we ensure they’re safe and healthy? And how do parents, who will be home with their virtual students, create a proper home office to coexist with their new homeschool? Having a comfortable and functional work space, whether it’s at home, at school or in the office, is vital to being productive and something SCREAMING IMAGES can assist with.
WRITEWRAP
Whether it’s a student who will be homeschooling or a parent taking their home office to the next level, people across the country will be spending a lot more time in their home work spaces in the coming months. In order to coexist, we need to create spaces that are multi-functional and simple. One of our favorite new products to work with has been dubbed the WRITEWRAP. It’s a dry erase material that can be customized and applied to any surface, no matter the size or texture. Walls, desks, tables, classrooms, conference rooms or bedrooms, the WRITEWRAP provides an opportunity to modify any space and make it conducive to working or learning at home.
SHARESHIELD™
As the pandemic set in, businesses were forced to quickly adjust or close their doors. SCREAMING IMAGES was no different, as we had to pivot and learn how to use our skills to succeed in this new market. That pivot resulted in our new SHARESHIELD ™ line – clear plastic barriers that can be personalized and fabricated for any space, including desks and classroom settings. Included in the SHARESHIELD ™ line are DESKSHIELDS, which can be attached to each individual desk or table, allowing students to attend class and function in their own space, while maintaining social distancing guidelines. We recently had the honor of installing these DESKSHIELDS for the amazing new Girls Athletic Leadership School Las Vegas and anticipate additional schools utilizing shields, as students gradually return to in-person classes.
2020 has been the year of adjustments. As the year began, there was quite a bit to be excited about in Las Vegas. The economy was booming, with projects such as Allegiant Stadium moving full-steam ahead. Tourism was at an all-time high and there was an enormous amount of positivity for what the future held. That all came to a screeching halt, as the pandemic turned the economy upside down. What has been a difficult summer has also produced opportunities for businesses to regroup, evaluate what they do well as a company and essentially go back to school to learn how to succeed in this new economy. While there’s still a long road ahead to get the economy back to where it was, the willingness of Las Vegas to adjust and expand will pay off in the future.
